More than 2,800 alumni, friends, and partners across Indiana donated $483,813 on April 8 during the third annual Ivy Tech Day — a 24-hour giving event that supports scholarships, industry-aligned programs and student success across Ivy Tech Community College’s 19 campuses.

For more than 200,000 students with aspirations to contribute to their communities, a single day can change lives. On Tuesday, April 8, Ivy Tech Community College will host its third-annual Ivy Tech Day, a 24-hour fundraising event dedicated to supporting student success, scholarships, and transformative programs. Alumni, faculty, staff, donors, and community members are invited to contribute and help Indiana’s workforce engine prepare the next generation of nurses, pharmaceutical manufacturers, cybersecurity experts, entrepreneurs, and more.

Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded Ivy Tech Foundation a $21.9 million, three-year grant to support the efforts of Ivy Tech Community College (Ivy Tech) to help strengthen Indiana’s early childhood education workforce. This funding will support programs and partnerships that will expand options for and improve access to high-quality postsecondary education and training for current and future early childhood education professionals. 

Circle of Ivy, the women’s philanthropy circle of the Ivy Tech Foundation’s mission of supporting students across Indiana, has raised more than $245,000 to fund 82 projects and Ivy Tech students across the state, the organization announced today.

Ivy Tech Community College and the Ivy Tech Foundation recognized Ivy Tech alumni, donors and volunteers from across the state this weekend at the 2024 Distinguished Alumni and Benefactor Awards in Indianapolis. The awards celebrate the contributions of accomplished graduates and generous donors and volunteers to their communities and to Ivy Tech. Each of Ivy Tech’s 19 campuses nominated a graduate and a donor for the Distinguished Alumni and Benefactor Awards, which the Ivy Tech Foundation administers annually.  

For a student attending college, a day can mean everything. In fact, a day can change the life of someone building their future. At 12:01 a.m. ET on April 23, the Ivy Tech Foundation will kick off Ivy Tech Day, the College’s second annual day of giving, to help Ivy Tech Community College’s more than 190,000 students prepare for graduation day — and a better every day after.  

The Ivy Tech Foundation announced it has elected four board members to serve as officers in its mission to create community opportunities while breaking down barriers for students pursuing their education at Ivy Tech Community College. Board leadership will now include chair Lauren Salerno, vice chair Vincent Viveros, treasurer Brian Stater, and secretary Scott Miller.

Ivy Tech Community College announced results of the generosity of 14,000 donors who have invested in Ivy Tech over the past five years. The Ivy Tech Foundation recently wrapped up its first–ever comprehensive fundraising campaign – a five-year statewide effort called Invest IN Ivy Tech. The campaign focused on creating an impact on Ivy Tech students, communities, and the state.

Ivy Tech Day – the first-ever Day of Giving for Ivy Tech Community College – brought alumni, students, and friends of the College together on Tuesday to celebrate 60 years of achievement and opportunity in Indiana. The 24-hour event also exceeded its goal with 1,839 gifts contributing $241,685 that will provide for immediate student and programmatic needs around the state. The Foundation set a goal of 600 contributions to recognize Ivy Tech’s 60th anniversary this year.

Ivy Tech Foundation’s Women in Philanthropy Circle of Ivy awarded $263,649 to 84 projects at its seventh annual Circle of Ivy Gathering last Friday. The initiative raises funds to diminish barriers to higher education for Ivy Tech Community College students. Circle of Ivy has statewide reach, with a focus specifically on campus needs and projects that positively impact students. Since its inception in 2015, Circle of Ivy has grown to more than 1,000 members. In seven years, the members have raised more than $1 million to assist with 384 projects.

Ivy Tech Community College honored 18 individuals across the state selected to receive the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award, the highest honor given to recognize Ivy Tech Alumni. Selected through a highly competitive process, each recipient has made a lasting impact on their community and on Ivy Tech through outstanding professional, philanthropic, or volunteer accomplishments.

The Ivy Tech Foundation recently recognized 19 Benefactor Award winners at its Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony last week. During this event, the Foundation honors individuals, corporations, and foundations from Indiana who have considerably impacted Ivy Tech communities and students. The award celebrates the gifts and volunteer service that has been contributed to the College. 

Ivy Tech is one of 20 community colleges to partner with the PepsiCo Foundation on this program. The partnership, in fact, already has supported more than 160 scholarships for Black, Latino, and Hispanic students at Ivy Tech who are studying advanced manufacturing, information technology, business administration, logistics & supply chain, and transportation.
