"Being a late bloomer, I welded for years before deciding to go back to school as a cyber security student. Returning to school after such a long time was challenging, but Ivy Tech’s professors helped immensely as I learned new skills in Information Technology. Part way through my degree program, I sustained an injury that put a strain on my finances and life. During rehabilitation, Ivy Tech was so supportive it made it easier to get back in the swing of things when my I’d healed. By the end of this May, I will graduate with my associate degree in Information Technology and be ready for the next step in my Cyber Security journey."

"For the last 18 years, I’ve worked as a CNA. I always dreamed of getting my nursing degree, but with three children and a full-time job, I thought school an impossibility. One day, I spoke with the Chancellor for the Ivy Tech Marion campus. He gave me hope and motivation, and encouraged me to keep trying. Everyone on staff is so supportive, and focused on helping you succeed. Sometimes all we need is a push in the right direction!"

"After working in product marketing and management for more than a decade, I left my career to be a stay-at-home mom. I found myself missing the leadership, professional development, and opportunity for growth. Attending Ivy Tech Marion allowed me to find those things again. I have continued honing my leadership skills by becoming the President of the Student Government Association and the student representative for the Marion Campus Board of Trustees. The flexible, learn anywhere class schedules allowed me to take care of my children while receiving ongoing training, and because of the grants and scholarships I received, I have been able to afford a college education."
