Entrepreneur, baker, and Ivy Tech alumna, Caylyn Pruitt transformed a high school passion into CayPops Bakery, a thriving business serving customers across Indiana and Kentucky. After earning her Associate Degree in Entrepreneurship from Ivy Tech Columbus, she continued to grow and expand her business using skills developed both in and out of the classroom. Guests at this year’s Distinguished Alumni and Benefactor Awards Dinner will enjoy custom Ivy Tech-themed CayPops created by Caylyn and her team.

Ashley Curry began her Ivy Tech journey in 2018 and quickly distinguished herself through her commitment to learning and leadership. While pursuing her Associate Degree in Accounting, she became actively involved on campus and gained valuable professional experience in the accounting field. In 2023, Ashley completed her degree and became a part-owner of the accounting firm where she began her career. She continues to support Ivy Tech through service on the Business Advisory Board while balancing professional success, family responsibilities, and continued learning. Ashley Curry Weddle represents the determination and community-minded leadership of an Ivy Tech alumna.

Dr. Stephanie Hirons serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at Ascension St. Vincent, where she leads initiatives that expand access to mental health services and support patient care. After earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling, Stephanie found a renewed sense of purpose through Ivy Tech’s nursing program, which helped shape her leadership journey. She later earned a doctorate in nursing and advanced into executive leadership roles. Today, Dr. Stephanie Hirons is dedicated to helping individuals and families thrive while mentoring others to recognize their potential and pursue meaningful careers in healthcare.

Staci Beiswanger is an accomplished human resources leader with more than 27 years of experience at Steel Dynamics, where she serves as Onboarding and Employee Development Manager. An Ivy Tech graduate, Staci also earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana Tech, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning. She leads workforce development initiatives, including apprenticeship and employee training programs that support organizational growth and career advancement. Joe Jackson is a 1984 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College whose career has spanned more than four decades in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry. After earning his degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology, he built expertise through industry leadership roles before helping grow Jackson Systems’ Custom Controls Division. Joe’s technical knowledge and commitment to excellence have earned him widespread professional respect. Beyond his career, Joe Jackson dedicates significant time to youth organizations, community service initiatives, faith-based programs, and veteran support efforts. His lifelong commitment to service and leadership reflects the values of an Ivy Tech education.
Jeffrey Hodson

Jeffrey Hodson is an entrepreneur, technology leader, and Ivy Tech graduate whose career demonstrates the power of persistence and innovation. After earning associate degrees in Network and Data Communications and Business Administration, Jeff founded Elsewhen Technology, an IT services and cybersecurity company serving businesses throughout Central Indiana. He also owns Kokomo Computers and Sunshine Group LLC, businesses that provide technology support and contribute to community revitalization. Jeffrey Hodson remains engaged in workforce development and cybersecurity education, sharing his expertise with local businesses and future professionals. In 2025, he became the owner and operator of CryoFREEZE Sports Recovery Center in St. John, Indiana, where he helps clients improve their physical well-being through recovery and wellness services. Wanda Meyer exemplifies the value of lifelong learning and service. After beginning her educational journey at Ivy Tech while working as an administrative assistant at a local power plant, she continued her studies and earned her degree. Following a successful career, Wanda returned to Ivy Tech, where she now supports faculty and contributes to the success of students and colleagues on the Lawrenceburg campus. In addition to her professional contributions, Wanda Meyer remains active in her church and family, dedicating time to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dale Sedam is a 1992 graduate of Ivy Tech Madison who has built a successful career in advanced manufacturing and workforce development. As Lead Supervisor of Maintenance at LG&E, he combines technical expertise with a passion for mentoring future professionals. Dale has maintained a strong connection to Ivy Tech through service as chair of the Advanced Manufacturing Faculty Advisory Board, mentorship of students, and involvement with workforce readiness initiatives. He also helped establish the Madison Vocational Partnership and supports programs that introduce students to technical careers. Melissa Magers-Brooks Warmath is recognized for her remarkable resilience, compassion, and dedication to serving others. Throughout significant personal challenges, including supporting family members through serious health battles, Melissa remained a steadfast source of strength, hope, and encouragement. While raising five children, she also devoted herself to educating and nurturing young learners as a preschool teacher. Her ability to lead with grace, kindness, and gratitude has positively influenced countless lives.
